Travel to campsite in Virar. Programme and safety briefing, check-in, orientation. Freshen up. Lunch, and make the most out of the beach, with a sandcastle building competition and other team activities. Dinner, lights out.
Early wake up. Post breakfast get ready for your first surfing lesson. After a safety briefing, learn to catch your own foam wave and stand up on the board. Students will learn the belly ride and pop up techniques, with practice sessions on the beach. Understand safety dismounting. Lunch. Post lunch drive to Tungareshwar National Park (approximately 30 km). Explore the unique wilderness of the park that has three different types of forests, Dry Deciduous, Moist Deciduous and Semi Evergreen right on the outskirts of Mumbai. Drive back to hotel, evening snacks followed by a movie/documentary on surfing. Dinner, stargazing and lights out.
Early wake up. Post breakfast get ready for the second session. Practice catching your own foam wave by paddling and standing up. Learn mild direction changes, first the front and back side and then slaloms. Reminders of hazards and safety. Lunch, post lunch visit the grand remnants of Vasai fort, built in 1184 by Yadavas of Devagiri and controlled by several dynasties. Drive back to hotel. Prepare for the talent night, showcase your talents and celebrate with musical night, enjoy barbeque dinner, reflections and lights out.
Wake up early, have breakfast and get ready for the final session. In this session, students will catch their own green wave in the outside by paddling, stand up the board and trim along the green face of the wave. Lunch and closing ceremony. Bid goodbye to the campsite and start the journey back home.
